Starting Memorial Day weekend, and continuing through Labor Day weekend, Sunday Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford will be held at 11 am instead of noon.

The Greene County Department of Human Services is seeking volunteers for the Home Delivered Meals Program, as well as the Homebound Medical Transportation Program. A vehicle is necessary and there is no age requirement. All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application. Mileage reimbursement is available for the medical transportation program. If you’re a veteran in need of help with your lawn work, call the Blue Star Mothers, Greene County Region NY13 at (518) 945-1325. They will help with trimming, raking, lawn mowing, etc. They will also provide veterans with a free shave and haircut as well as furnish the transportation for those services.

The Greene County Women’s League is a non-profit organization that assists Greene County residents who have been diagnosed with cancer. Aid will be provided for cancer-related medical costs not covered by insurance including prosthesis and co-pays for pharmacy, doctor and/or hospital bills.
